HOW WE GRADE OUR RECORDS

We grade vinyl records using a clear, widely understood scale, helping buyers know exactly what to expect.

Mint (M) records are flawless. They appear unplayed, with no visible marks, warping, or surface noise. Sleeves and inserts are equally pristine. Mint records are extremely rare and reserved for near-perfect copies.
Excellent (EX) records show minimal signs of handling. There may be very light sleeve marks visible under strong light, but playback is clean and quiet with no significant defects. Covers may have slight edge wear but remain sharp and well cared for.

Very Good (VG) records have been played and handled but are still enjoyable. Light scratches or scuffs may be visible, and occasional surface noise may be heard, especially during quieter passages, without overpowering the music. Sleeves may show moderate wear.

Good (G) records are heavily used. Surface noise, scratches, and visual wear are clearly present and audible, though the record still plays through without skipping. Covers may have seam splits, creases, or writing.
Fair (F) and Poor (P) records are damaged. They may warp, skip, crackle loudly, or have deep scratches. These copies are typically sold for collectors, artwork, or restoration projects rather than listening enjoyment.
